SF Guitarworks is the exclusive San Francisco dealer for both Eastwood and Reverend guitars.
Some of my customers have asked me why I chose to carry Reverend and Eastwood guitars. Great question. Moving into retail was not a decision that I made lightly. I see many guitars that I would be ashamed to sell and I swore that I would only carry instruments that I would own myself. After spending as much time as I have learning about the mechanical workings of the instrument, I decided that both Reverend and Eastwood were making cool guitars that I could, as a perfectionistic repairman, absolutely stand behind. I did not choose them for price or markup, and I considered several "high-end" lines before I made my choice. I look for a great bang for my buck, and I assume that you do too. The guitars come to the shop in great shape, and I usually enjoy at least 20 mins playing each one before I give it a thorough set-up. They don't need much. I would put the Reverends up against any guitar, of any price, for gigging out. They have great tonal range and are built rock-solid. The Eastwoods have a very cool vibe and are also top quality. You can find one to suit any playing style from jazz to metal. So, if you are in the market for a great guitar that has some killer style, at a resonable price, you should definiltely check 'em out. The showroom is quiet and comfortable, so you can spend some time getting to know the guitars without 10 noodlers playing bad renditions of Panama all around you. Unless you bring 10 people that all play Panama... I would not recommend that.

Thanks so much to the SF Bay Guardian, and to all of you awesome customers, for making SF Guitarworks' "Best of the Bay" award possible!

My goal is to make your instrument into something that you truly enjoy. We all know how frustrating it is to have a guitar that won't tune, won't stay in tune, has high action, buzzes, makes noise or makes no noise. The list goes on. It is also frustrating to have your instrument "repaired", only to find that the improvement made was minor, and did not solve the problem. I see plenty of work from other shops, and although some is OK, most displays a general lack of care and/or skill. I promise that won't be the case at SF Guitarworks.
I am here for you, the player. I want to fully understand the problem with your instrument. What is that characteristic that is getting in the way of your playing, and how do you think it should be? After we are both sure we understand each other, the instrument will be transformed - meeting or exceeding your expectations. I believe that it should be a joy to pick up your guitar, bass, banjo, or other stringed instrument and know that it will perform as you expect. I am here to help you achieve that goal. My work is backed by a satisfaction guarantee, which no customer has taken advantage of since I have been in business, and all work that I perform is covered by a lifetime warranty. I am a perfectionist, and although I can't tell you what will happen at other shops, I can guarantee that it will be done right the first time at SF Guitarworks. Professional service, no attitude. If you are at odds with your instrument, even if it seems nit-picky, please give me a call or stop by and I will do my very best to help you. Thanks so much,
